Game Summary
Play as a gunslinging fighter and destroy waves of enemies in the arena!Â
The game's objective is to defeat 100 waves of enemies and then defeat the final boss. The game also has an arcade-like endless mode.
My Contributions
Combat
I joined Project A to expand the combat system, which initially consisted only of basic gunplay. To make combat more dynamic and rewarding, I designed a melee moveset where each attack served a unique purpose, such as kicks that knock enemies back and headbutts that function as parries and launchers for aerial combos. I also developed a Style Meter inspired by Devil May Cry to encourage players to use varied attacks and perform creative combos instead of relying solely on shooting.
Enemies
I redesigned the enemy roster to create more engaging and threatening combat encounters. Originally, most enemies were slow-moving units that simply walked toward the player and attacked. I introduced unique abilities and behaviors that allowed enemies to close the distance under gunfire and remain dangerous throughout the encounter. These changes made combat more dynamic and encouraged players to use the full range of movement and melee mechanics rather than relying solely on ranged attacks.
Shop and Waves
I designed the progression structure for Project A around a 100-wave survival mode. Boss encounters are planned to occur every 20 waves. Before each boss, players will enter a shop on waves 19, 39, 59, and 79, where they can purchase consumable items and upgrade their abilities.
